Atlas Air adds three 777F rotations between Anchorage and Incheon as e-commerce volumes rebound

Transpacific air yields have held at $4.85 per kilo for five weeks, which is the argument for adding lift.

ANCHORAGE — Atlas Air is adding three weekly 777F rotations between Anchorage and Incheon from 18 August, its first capacity addition on the lane since March.

Transpacific yields have held at $4.85 per kilo for five consecutive weeks. Flat is unusual in August, and it is enough to justify lift that would not pencil at a falling number.

E-commerce parcel volumes out of North Asia are running about 9% ahead of last year, most of it moving on charter rather than scheduled freighter capacity.
